PCGS and NGC provide important authentication, grading, encapsulation, registry, and market services. They are also human systems and are not infallible.
Buyer beware: Do not buy a coin solely because it is in a major grading-service holder. Evaluate the coin, the grade, the surfaces, the eye appeal, and the price.
